Publisher Policy

Standards for trust, safety, advertising, and responsible publishing.

Last updated: May 19, 2026

Anannya Magazine publishes original journalism, essays, features, interviews, and cultural coverage for readers in Bangladesh and Bengali-speaking communities. This policy explains how we separate editorial work from commercial activity and protect reader trust.

Editorial Responsibility

Editorial decisions are made by Anannya's editorial team. We review content for accuracy, context, reader value, and responsible presentation before publication. We avoid misleading headlines, fabricated information, impersonation, and deceptive presentation.

Advertising Separation

Advertising, sponsorship, affiliate, or partner content must not control editorial judgment. Paid or sponsored material should be clearly identifiable where it appears. Advertisers do not receive control over independent reporting, corrections, or headlines.

Ad Safety

We aim to keep advertising away from content that would be unsafe, deceptive, illegal, sexually exploitative, hateful, or unnecessarily graphic. We may block or remove ads, placements, or pages if they conflict with reader safety, platform policies, or our editorial standards.

Restricted and Sensitive Content

We handle sensitive topics such as violence, self-harm, sexual violence, minors, medical issues, discrimination, grief, and public safety with care. Headlines and summaries should avoid sensational wording and unnecessary graphic detail.

User Trust

We maintain visible About, Contact, Editorial Policy, Corrections Policy, Privacy Policy, and RSS pages so readers and platforms can understand who publishes the site, how to contact us, and how we handle errors and privacy.

Corrections and Removals

We correct factual errors when identified. We generally preserve the public record, but we may remove or restrict content in exceptional cases involving legal risk, safety risk, duplication, privacy, or serious ethical concerns.
